It was supposed to be merely an appearance package, but soon came to be more than that. It existed for five short years, from 1970 through 1975. GM should have stopped with the concept version. One of these was the Grabber version of Ford’s Maverick. It is the sad and unfortunate spiritual successor to the Eldorado Brougham and the Allante, as well as a terrible waste of scarce resources. Inside Looking Out I wanted to like it so bad, but I can not. And would a RR buyer really have Giovanni make a sudden u-turn into a Caddy dealer? Yeah.no. And a $340k car, at the snap of a finger and a press release, will change that. But you're saddled with poor resale values, average dealer experiences, the anchor named GM, and a brand cache that might be on par with Infiniti.
